Transforming Barns on the Outskirts of Harrogate

The land, development and architectural team of Lister Haigh is proud to share one of our recent projects, a stunning barn conversion development on the outskirts of Harrogate. This developer-led scheme involved the transformation of four traditional barns and the extension and restoration of an adjoining farmhouse, blending heritage charm with modern living.

Expert Guidance from Start to Finish

Our architect, Marie Harris BA (Hons) Dip Arch ARB RIBA, played a key role in bringing this project to life. Lister Haigh was closely involved at every stage, helping to secure multiple planning approvals, including:

• Diversion of a public footpath
• Approvals for the barn conversions
• New access track and garages

We also coordinated and submitted building regulation applications for each property and provided ongoing support, answering queries from the construction team throughout the construction phase.

The transformation is remarkable, from the original barns and farmhouse to the completed homes, the development beautifully combines historic features with contemporary design.
